The application has been sent and the Campbell family couldn’t be more excited to get the ball rolling. What are the Campbells up to you ask? God has called us to care for the orphan (James 1:27), and for a number of years we have responded to that calling through a wonderful organization, Orphans Lifeline International, which we will continue to support. I encourage you all to do the same, because there are so many different ways to help! As for our family, God is calling us to do more than we have been, to not be content and to stretch beyond our levels of comfort.
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. -Ephesians 2:10
God has made it clear to us that our current mission is to bring an orphaned child from the country of Haiti into our family and home. We are excited about this journey for many reasons. We don’t know where it will take us, what sacrifices it will require, how or when we will get there and who will help us along the way. The only thing we know is the why. Why? Because God has broken our hearts for what breaks His. And we know that if we live by faith and let God lead the way, not only throughout this process but in ALL things, then only good will come of it. Even if it’s not exactly how we have pictured it to be.
For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. -Philippians 2:13
Because God’s will is perfect.
Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God. -Romans 12:2
